Parliament House
Darwin’s heat and humidity can seem relentless, especially during the ‘build-up’ months of October and November, but a cool oasis awaits inside Parliament House (corner Mitchell and Bennett streets). This architecturally striking building houses the Legislative Assembly of the Northern Territory and ministerial offices, as well a café with verdant lawns overlooking the sea. The building is also the home of the Northern Territory Library, which has a multitude of private and semi-private workspaces, as well as free wi-fi, making it a handy spot for holidaymakers and businesspeople.
