Wharf One – Restaurant Review
There’s no frippery or fussy little flower-strewn tidbits on Wharf One’s tasting menu (nor, for that matter, on the à la carte) but that’s not to say it lacks finesse.
While dishes change seasonally, the selection is always strong on local produce and the smoky breath of the woodfired grill. Beef carpaccio might be followed by housemade rigatoni with Humpty Doo barramundi and white wine sauce; watermelon with citrus and goat’s cheese; chargrilled steak; pork belly; and coconut and mango panna cotta. It’s a lot of food but the attentive staff will happily pack your leftovers. Bonus: the excellent waterfront location affords a great view of artist Bruce Munro’s Tropical Light installations, on display until the end of the month.
