Where is Pacific Hotel Cairns? 

Less than 200 metres from Cairns Marlin marina, the hotel is in the heart of the town on the Esplanade corner, just 12 minutes drive from the airport.

What’s near Pacific Hotel Cairns?

The pretty Trinity Inlet is where you’ll glimpse the city’s best natural scenery (from some of the hotel’s private balconies, in fact). It’s also the place where tours leave for the Great Barrier Reef — you’ll be at the marina in a matter of minutes by foot. Cairns ZOOM and Wildlife Dome, a haven for families with energetic and curious kids, is also less than 200 metres away.

Room types 

Subtle coastal motifs dress the largely sedate rooms, with tropical print cushions, beach-themed art or rattan loungers adding a splash of personality. The Deluxe Room has a rather stunning set-up with a wraparound balcony presenting views of the city’s peaceful inlet, as well as bathtubs and plenty of space to spread out. 

Restaurants and bars 

The on-site Bushfire Flame Grill restaurant is a relaxed churrasco affair, with some serious Brazilian flair (samba dancers are known to shimmy through the tables on Fridays and Saturday nights). It’s casual — as in all-you-can-eat casual — with all manner of meat sticks, as well as some fun additions, such as a pineapple and cinnamon situation paired with ice cream. 

The restaurant also hosts a breakfast buffet for guests, inclusive of fresh fruit, hot classics and pastries.

Travel for work

All rooms are equipped with wi-fi and a desk for in-room working.

Pool and gym

Expect an open air, lounger-edged pool on level three. 

Accessibility   

There are several accessible rooms on-site across the Tropical Luxe and Standard Room categories. Features include elbow-operated taps and specialised toilets.

What you need to know

At $25 per head, the hotel’s breakfast buffet has to be one of the best value hotel buffets around. Walk-ins are welcome, if you want to add it after booking.
