Among the various surf-club dining options on the Gold Coast, this one tops the list for the uninterrupted views. Inside, there’s a large bar and bistro (gluten-free and vegetarian options available) but before you order, peruse the trophy cabinets that proudly showcase the success of the club, which was established in 1947 and has won the past 10 Australian Surf Life Saving Club Championship titles. Food-wise, many people point to the salt-and-pepper calamari and the burgers. This is classic Aussie beach fare – it’s not fine dining but it is tasty and atmospheric.
