Vibe Hotel Gold Coast – Hotel Review
From the outdoor pool shouldering the Nerang River to a sprawling open-air eatery stretching along the water, there’s an abundance of places to soak up that famous Surfers Paradise sunshine at Vibe Hotel Gold Coast. Read on for the full review.
Slotting into the Surfers skyline with its high-rise form, Vibe Hotel’s bright and simple rooms are just 500 metres from the sands of Surfers Paradise beach, confirming it as one of the most convenient (and affordable) stays just back from the strip.
Where is Vibe Hotel Gold Coast?
On the river side of the Gold Coast Highway, overlooking the water. It’s about 40 minutes’ drive to Gold Coast Airport and just a few hundred metres from the main drag of the Esplanade.
What’s near Vibe Hotel Gold Coast?
The beach, of course. From the front door of Vibe, you’re just a few hundred metres from the epic stretch of Surfers Paradise and Gold Coast beaches. You’re also less than 10 minutes’ drive from the eateries (and entertainment) of The Star and 10 minutes from Sea World.

Earn Qantas Points
There’s a no-frills feeling in the rooms at Vibe. Rooms are functional and fresh, with comfy beds and over-bath showers. All the mod cons are here: free wi-fi for up to four devices, tea and coffee stations and kitchenettes for studio rooms.
Restaurants and bars
The hotel is anchored by Driftwood Social, a poolside eatery slinging burgers, steak and lamb shoulders with a twist (the very shareable shoulder comes with roast garlic hummus and eggplant relish). You can also just do drinks — the low-slung lounges near the pool make a sundowner a must.
Curve, the on-site cafe, also does breakfast and room service and runs until 11.30pm on Saturday nights.
Travel for work
There are six meeting rooms for hire on site but if you’re working solo, the in-room dining table works for laptops — and don’t forget the free wi-fi.
Pool and gym
You could take the stroll to the beach or you could dive into the outdoor pool — open until 9pm — overlooking Nerang River. It could be just the ticket after a workout in the gym (a small but utilitarian space with machines and free weights).
