Koala spotting is a popular pastime for walkers in parts of Noosa National Park but you’ll have to keep your eye peeled. Sometimes you need to be lucky! Regardless, the park is still a bounty for wilderness lovers thanks to five walking tracks of varying degrees of difficulty, which criss-cross the Noosa Headland section. Take the boardwalk from Hastings Street for spectacular ocean views to Noosa Headland; stop off for a dip at one of several coves along the way. Laguna Lookout, also with lovely views, is accessed from the end of Viewland Drive in Noosa Heads. If you’re keen to really stretch your legs, the 5.4km Coastal Track runs from Noosa Heads to Sunshine Beach (and you can catch a bus back).
