Rose Street Artists Market
Fitzroy has the bustles on the weekend and it’s partly because of this unique market, tucked into a side street. You’ll know where you’re going because Grant, an unmissable guy with tatts, silver jewellery and leather hat, sits on the corner at Brunswick Street pointing shoppers in the right direction. In a former junkyard, artists and designers sell their handmade wares – everything from cute baby clothes to funky jewellery and artworks. For a local gem that’s easy to carry home, check out the cool cards, stationery and tea towels by Brunswick duo Anna Blandford and Gareth Meney, aka Able and Game. Open Saturday and Sunday.
Location
Fitzroy is packed with shops, bars and restaurants and just a short tram ride into the city. Brunswick Street is the most popular artery and nearby is equally hip Collingwood.
