Scienceworks

Rainy day? Bored kids? Take them to Scienceworks where they’ll have loads of fun bashing, pulling and pushing things all while learning at the same time. Send them into the Lightning Room for the ultimate hair-raising experience, look skywards in the Planetarium or tag along on one of the guided tours. There’s even a dedicated area for the under-fives called Discovery Island, with its Crawlers Cove and Shipwreck Playhouse. Outside, check out the weather station and climb the history wall embedded with fossils.

Location 

Spotswood is 7km west of the Melbourne CBD. The museum is around 750m from the Spotswood rail station.
