Although Crown Promenade represents the luxury Crown complex’s most functional accommodation, this sister hotel to Crown Towers and Crown Metropol doesn't skimp on the good stuff. Read on for the full review.

Less than 10 minutes east of the CBD, Crown Promenade has the same excellent amenities — a refreshing outdoor pool, lively on-site eateries, comfy, well-equipped rooms — along with access to all the glitz of wider Crown’s other luxurious inclusions. In short, you’ll get the best of both worlds — without the hefty price tag.

Where is Crown Promenade Perth?

In Burswood, a suburb that shoulders the Swan River. It’s about 10 minutes’ drive from Perth’s CBD and a 15-minute drive to the airport.

What’s near Crown Promenade Perth?

The perks of staying within the Crown Perth complex are many. In addition to globally renowned eateries Nobu, Rockpool and Bistro Guillaume, there’s live theatre, nightclubs, sports bars and, of course, the casino. If you’re at all tempted to leave, the CBD, with its great art museums (WA Museum Boola Bardip is a highlight) and wine bars, is about 10 minutes away by car.

The compact, colourful rooms are functional, with a bit of fun. All rooms have a comfy chaise longue near the window, alongside a small dining table (digital room service is a fun touch). It’s a joy to pop on the provided slippers post-turndown and recline in the plush king-sized bed. If you’re after a smidge more space, suites have almost double the floor meterage, and a separate dining and living area.

Restaurants and bars

Bistro Guillame

Promenade’s eateries tend towards the casual, with the exception of Modo Mio, a sophisticated Italian fine diner serving exceptional local produce, from Fremantle octopus to WA rock lobster. (The seared scallops with tomato water and spicy nduja represent the perfect marriage of the state’s produce and European recipes). There’s also the tasty Merrywell, the hotel’s answer to an elevated pub, which serves jug cocktails and jazzed-up fusion food, from fried chicken bao buns to mac and cheese balls.

(If you’re on the brink of booking dinner and feel like splashing out, don’t forget you’re also just steps from Crown’s culinary king hits, including Nobu, Rockpool Bar & Grill and Bistro Guillaume, which are all part of the same complex).

Sustainability

Like other outposts of the Crown brand, there’s a strong sustainability effort at Crown Promenade. In addition to an underground water bore that irrigates the gardens, bypassing the need for the town water supply, there’s a concerted waste-management process that aims to divert 90 per cent of waste from landfill. Taps, shower heads and toilets are also fitted with water-wise faucets.

Travel for work

The in-room dining table, coupled with free wi-fi, does the job as a workspace, but there’s also a business centre and boardroom on the lobby floor. The generous meeting room has a balcony, a nice touch for long days in front of the laptop.

Gym, pool and spa

Crown Promenade spa couple suite

The outdoor pool is heaven. It’s bordered by palms and a sundeck and gym bunnies also have exclusive access to the fitness centre from 6am-9pm daily. Not your idea of relaxation? The Crown complex does indeed have a namesake spa, where La Prairie is the product of choice.
