Crowne Plaza Perth – Hotel Review

Despite the prevalence of remote working, it’s a rare hotel indeed that actually caters for it. With large in-room desks, ergonomic chairs and fast wi-fi, Crowne Plaza Perth ticks all the boxes for a busy business traveller. Read on for the full review.

There’s plenty for leisure travellers at this property, too. Spacious rooms, complimentary bike hire, a 20-metre outdoor infinity pool, on-site fitness centre and a location in the CBD’s east ensures a convenient and comfortable stay in the centre of Perth.

Where is Crowne Plaza Hotel? 

On Terrace Road, near the CBD’s eastern edge. It’s about a 20-minute drive to the airport and strides from the city’s main street, Adelaide Terrace.

What’s near Crowne Plaza Hotel?

All of the city’s attractions — The Perth Mint, WA Museum Boola Bardip and the shimmering marina of Elizabeth Quay — are within easy reach. The former is 10 minutes away by foot, the others are less than that by car or bus. The meandering Swan River is the closest attraction and it takes about two minutes on foot to reach Langley Park, the green expanse of foreshore you can probably see from your window.

Room types 

The king of rooms, the King River View Spa Suite, has views of the Swan River , a deep-soaking spa bath, separate living room, coffee machine and even a butler’s station for in-room dining. Other room types apply the same clean decor without the extra frills, though all have baths, plush beds and work stations.

Restaurants and bars 

Gusti, the on-site eatery, generally has tables on the terrace and offers upmarket pub-style fare — think wagyu steaks, pizzas and fish and chips. The breakfast menu approach is similar and covers the classics: pancakes, eggs your way and muesli are all on offer.

Travel for work

In addition to the dedicated in-room workspaces and free wi-fi, the hotel also offers complimentary use of on-site laundry facilities to ensure you’re sharp for any client catch-up. There’s also a business centre and meeting rooms, with printing facilities, comfy chairs and touch-screen computers. 

Pool and gym  

Do your requisite laps (or simply admire the Swan River ) in the 20-metre outdoor pool, which seems to hang over green Langley Park. The fitness centre on level three enjoys the same view.
