All of the hotel's 239 guestrooms are light-filled and simply styled in warm wood tones, with a pop of colour in wall murals inspired by the city skyline. The feel is stylish yet unfussy; a little like the laid-back city itself.

Mercure Perth is located on Irwin Street in the east end of the CBD, with entrances also on Hay Street and St Georges Terrace. The hotel is an easy 20-minute drive from Perth Airport, and a 10-minute walk from Perth Train Station.

The east end of the Perth CBD is known for its charming historic buildings, leafy streets, and waterfront setting. Directly opposite the hotel is Government House and the Old Court House Law Museum; Elizabeth Quay, while the Swan River, Museum of Perth, WA Museum Boola Bardip, and Perth Concert Hall are all within a 10-minute walk of the hotel.

Cucina on Hay, inspired by a classic Italian alimentari, is a light-filled space on the hotel’s ground floor with large windows looking out onto bustling Hay Street, Grab everything from a quick coffee to a steaming bowl of duck cappelletti between meetings. Beccaria Bar, is a quiet spot with a speakeasy atmosphere, where you can savour a craft cocktail or a glass of local wine in a comfy chair (at the time of writing, the attached restaurant was temporarily closed).

High-speed unlimited wi-fi is free and available across the hotel grounds, and most room feature a desk and chair for. Other perks for business travellers include a 24-hour business centre, laundry service, express checkout and discounted parking close to the hotel.

Mercure Perth’s biggest perk might be its breezy rooftop leisure area which features a heated lap pool, jacuzzi and ample sunbeds, with views of the city and Swan River – perfect for soaking up that famous Perth sunshine. There’s also a large and well-equipped fitness centre with treadmills, stationary bikes, rowing machines, weights machines, and mats for stretching and yoga.
What you need to know
Mercure Perth is located in a high-rise building in an area with relatively few tall surrounding structures, so many of the rooms have nice views of the CBD and Swan River. For your best shot at snagging a room with a view, put in a request with the hotel when you book.
