Run by one of Paris’ best young chefs, Grégory Marchand, Frenchie is renowned for its low-key gastronomy and casual ambience as much as its impossibility to obtain a booking. If you do get in, you will be won over by this establishment’s simple charm and the food’s exceptional presentation and flavour combinations.

Frenchie is refreshingly void of any pomp and ceremony and while we would recommend the tasting menu (you will want to photograph your food as though you were in a three-star Michelin establishment), its staff are more than happy to rethink any ingredients for a vegetarian option. If you arrive early grab a drink at the wine bar across the street – again, if you can get in.

Location

Located just above the 1st arrondissement, this Right Bank neighbourhood of Paris is best known as the city’s financial and business district as it houses the Bourse (stock exchange), in addition to some of the finest examples of Haussmann architecture thanks to the area’s professional wealth.
