Hotel le Walt is conveniently positioned near some of Paris’s major tourist landmarks; Les Invalides, Napoleon’s resting place, is just a six-minute stroll, while the Champs-Élysées is a scenic 2.5-kilometre walk over the River Seine. The renowned department store Le Bon Marche is 1.7 kilometres by foot and the Louvre is a seven-minute taxi ride. The design aesthetic throughout the hotel is classical meets contemporary. Large oil painting replicas, inclusive of 'L’entrée d’Alexandre dans Babylone' by Charles le Brun (the original of which hang in the nearby Louvre) serve as huge and colourful headboards; a riot of colour that is expertly offset by neutral wooden flooring. Rooms here come in one of two categories: Classic and the slightly larger Executive. Rooms from level six and up have either full or partial views of the Eiffel Tower, while all rooms come with a flat-screen TV, fully stocked mini bar and sleek bathrooms with rainfall showers.
