With three bars and two restaurants helmed by prestigious chefs who’ve appeared on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, The Madrid EDITION has plenty of in-house entertainment. Open for breakfast through to supper, Jerónimo, helmed by acclaimed Mexican chef Enrique Olvera (ex-Pujol), is a sunny place to start the day. On the ground floor, the hotel’s Lobby Bar is a lively hangout for people-watching and enjoying a game of pool on the Emmanuel Level Stenne table in a marble-dominated room designed by famed architect John Pawson. At sunset, Oroya, the rooftop pisco bar and Peruvian tapas restaurant, is the place to be. Come for the view, garden-party ambience and delicious fare by Diego Muñoz (Astrid y Gastón) and stay for the Pisco Sours. Sophisticated cocktail bar Punch Room, an EDITION hotel signature, can be found hidden away behind a door in the lobby.

Travel for work

In this highly social city, those seeking a quiet venue to catch up on work may find it tricky. But with large communal spaces and a wide range of quiet seating, The Madrid EDITION is a welcome haven for business travellers. Wi-Fi is free and fast and the hotel has a series of natural-light-filled meeting rooms (bookings required).

Spa and pool

The west-facing rooftop infinity pool is spectacular and reserved for guests only – it’s one of the largest in the city and boasts panoramic views across Madrid’s skyline. The on-site spa, complete with steam room, is open until 9pm and has a good range of full-body treatments, including the personalised Madrid Edition Massage – a salve for jet lag or a post-workout wind-down after a session in the hotel’s 24/7 gym.
