K Hotel Kensington – Hotel Review

Comfort and cost are two of the drawcards of the centrally located K Hotel Kensington, a simple stay in the heart of west London. The other is location: perched in a row of white-edged Victorian terraces between South Kensington and Earl’s Court, it’s easy to head anywhere on foot from your front door. Guests will likely be doing a lot of that, especially as London’s museum district is 15 minutes walk away, with Hyde Park just over a kilometre away. The Family rooms are helpfully affordable in a city that often isn’t and if you snag a room with a balcony, you’ll secure even better value for such a blue-ribbon neighbourhood. 

Where is K Hotel Kensington?

Cromwell Road, one of the main arterial roads that cuts through the city, is where you’ll find K Hotel Kensington. It’s about 25 minutes by car from Heathrow Airport (with no traffic, of course).

What’s near K Hotel Kensington?

All of west London seems close to K Hotel Kensington. History buffs are just 10 minutes walk from the Natural History Museum and the glorious Victoria & Albert Museum is a 14-minute walk. Kensington Palace, near the western tip of Hyde Park, is an easy 18 minute stroll, with the park’s edges even closer than that.

Room types 

Rooms at K Hotel Kensington are simple and practical. Travelling with kids? Opt for Family rooms that accommodate three or four, with grand windows overlooking the street. Other rooms, with slate grey accents, full-size desks, free wi-fi and toiletries, can be a little small and have low roofs (a quirk of heritage London housing). 

Travel for work

Super speedy wi-fi is a given in all rooms at K Hotel Kensington and even the smallest room types include a large enough space to comfortably work.
