Brunch is a walk-in-and-wait-awhile affair at this original Tribeca favourite, which serves good ol’ down-home American cooking, albeit with strictly farm-to-table ingredients. But you’ll be glad you held out, if only for the unforgettable buttermilk biscuits and homemade jam. Aside from breakfast, Bubby’s aces pies (they originally opened as a pie shop) with pecan and banoffee as two standouts. The casual environment is kid-friendly and also suitable for a low-key afternoon business meeting, yet night owls can avail themselves of the “midnight brunch” option, served from 11pm to 7am.

Location

The hip, lower Manhattan neighbourhood of Tribeca is known for its abundant shopping and dining options. Its gleaming multimillion-dollar converted warehouses and industrial spaces are home to many families, sports stars and celebrities, including Tribeca Film Festival founder Robert De Niro.
