Four Seasons Hotel New York
Thanks to the spacious rooms and suites, this understated and elegant 52-story New York landmark feels more residential, a definite plus when travelling with family. In fact, this I.M. Pei-designed hotel is supremely kid-friendly: the concierge is well versed on activities for young ones and they can arrange special amenities, including child-size bathrobes (adorable!), babysitting services, complimentary colouring books and baby equipment. But if travelling solo or as a couple, you might park yourself at the gorgeous, Art Deco-inspired Ty Bar off the main lobby — or maybe in the 400-metre-square Ty Warner penthouse (the priciest room in New York but perhaps worth it for the 360-degree Manhattan views). The fitness centre is open 24 hours but Central Park’s spacious greenery and running paths are only two blocks away.
Location
The city’s busiest business district, Midtown Manhattan boasts incredible and iconic architecture (the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building call it home). Times Square, to the west, is only a few blocks away.
