The Refinery Hotel
A dash of history mingles with modernity at this early 20th-century hat factory-turned-industrial chic boutique hotel. The real highlight, though, is that it’s well within walking distance to many major sights: Bryant Park, Times Square, Theater District and the Empire State Building. The best view of that spire in the sky comes care of the Refinery Rooftop, one of the city’s best lounges (don’t even try to have just one cocktail). Even the hotel restaurant, Parker & Quinn, is a gem; it’s popular with locals for breakfast and suitable for business lunches. Oh, and the rooms: their loft-like vibes (complete with high ceilings) provide a welcome respite after a day spent shopping on nearby Fifth Avenue, where you should probably pick up a hat or two, just as a nod to the hotel’s backstory.
Location
Technically located in Midtown West, one of the prime selling points of this hotel is its proximity to Bryant Park, the trendy Garment District and public transport.
