Visit San Fran’s Chinatown

San Francisco’s Chinatown is the largest Chinatown outside Asia and a tourist magnet. Walk along Stockton Street to get a sense of this lively working street, full of food markets and much more. The Golden Gate Cookie Company (56 Ross Alley) gives tours of its tiny factory for free (but photos will cost). The food at R + G Lounge (631 Kearny Street) comes highly recommended, as do the dim sum at Great Eastern (649 Jackson Street). Even President Obama got takeaway there back in 2012. There are pastry shops on Grant Street and a foot massage can be had just about anywhere. Wander around and get lost.
Location
The oldest Chinatown in America, this vibrant area sits between Union Square and North Beach.
