Becky Cooper and Bridget Yorston are the brains behind cult Australian label, Bec & Bridge. Their pieces are known for a feminine edge that create striking silhouettes, so it’s no wonder the label has had such success. And it’s not just Australian’s that love the label, Beyoncé, Nicole Richie and Jennifer Lopez have all been spotted wearing Bec & Bridge pieces. Last year, they launched their first swim collection in Miami. “We were overwhelmed with how cool, energetic, culturally rich and visually inspiring Miami is,” says Bec. Here, they share their most stylish Miami haunts.

Best breakfast café

“Zak the Baker is a gem in Wynwood, it has killer sourdough and amazing pastries as well as a beautiful open-air setting. The epitome of Miami chic.”

Best boutique-fashion precinct

“Head to Collins Avenue, South Beach and find the stores Atrium and Curve for a mix of swim, accessories and fashion. Curve is great for a more high-end designer mix, however you can also pick up an amazing bikini or killer pair of sunnies. Atrium just has the most eclectic assortment of up-and-coming and established, mid- to high-end contemporary designers. We have spent a lot of time in there!”

Best vintage-fashion spot

“C. Madeleine is such a great store with rare vintage finds – think old-school Versace and Pucci! So cool and the fact that your purchases are one of a kind makes the experience just that extra bit special.”

One shop you can’t miss is…

“… Alchemist. It’s an amazing high-end designer store on the top level of a car park in South Beach. The architecture is unlike anything we have ever seen in a retail store before. We were blown away; it almost feels like a museum.”

Best markets

“Calle Ocho doesn’t have markets as such but it’s such a great Cuban area and all the bars play live, upbeat music with maracas and bongos. There are even some street vendors selling cocktails on the side of the road! We had the best fresh Pina coladas from this little street stall while they were pumping the tunes. The vibe is unbelievable.”

The best beauty spot is…

“… Bliss Spa at the W South Beach hotel. We kicked back here after a 10-hour day of shooting our swimwear collection and they made us feel like queens. They have lots of treatments, however we can’t go past a good old-fashioned massage.”

The best bar for an evening drink is…

“… Basement Miami. Once you’ve had your first post-work bevvy and the night is kicking in, head to this fantastic micro club on Collins Avenue – there’s even a bowling alley and ice rink in there!”
