How Can I Keep My Qantas Points Active?

In our ongoing series, we unpack some of the most common myths and misconceptions about the Qantas Frequent Flyer program so you can make the most of every point.

Flying is one way to ensure your Qantas Points all stay in your balance. But you don’t need to leave the runway to prevent your hard-earned points from expiring.

All you need to do is earn or use a single point – just one – over an 18-month period* to safeguard the points accumulated in your Frequent Flyer account. And there are a surprising number of ways you can do this.

First of all, sign up to the monthly enewsletter by logging in to your Qantas Frequent Flyer Account, going to your “Profile” and clicking on the “Interests and Subscriptions” tab. Then, check the box next to the “Your points balance and news” option. This way, you’ll be alerted two months before your points expire.
