Oribi Gorge, South Africa
Although the wild lushness of the South African landscape doesn’t profoundly feature in its natural form, the rugged mountains and gorges informed a lot of the set and CGI design. Following the plight of T’Challa (also known as Black Panther), the king of fictional African nation Wakanda, the film darts between breathtaking natural surrounds and high-tech modern cities. One notable location is Warrior Falls, a gathering place for the people of Wakanda, inspired by the rushing water of Lake Eland at Oribi Gorge.
