The Crown
The Netflix series based on the life of Queen Elizabeth II has used a number of very grand locations to film the events of the monarch’s life. Ely Cathedral, a Norman cathedral built in the 11th century, is located in Cambridgeshire. It stood in for London’s Westminster Abbey to depict the wedding of Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip in 1947 and has also served for other royal productions such as The King’s Speech and Elizabeth: The Golden Age.
