Possibly Australia’s best-known floral extravaganza, Canberra’s Floriade is an unabashed annual celebration of spring – and it’s not all about the flowers. There’s music, food, art, and the joy of spring sunshine on limbs long covered in winter woollens. More than one million flowers are on display during the month of September and October, with 192 portable planter boxes and the Floral Emporium for bouquets, fragrances and florist-led workshops.
