On-time performance

We know that getting away on time is one of the most important parts of your experience. It is for us too and we're continually working hard to make sure our on-time performance is class leading.

How we determine our on-time performance

Most of our jet fleet uses the computerised Aircraft Communication Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) to electronically measure on-time performance. Some of our regional fleet, which aren't ACARS equipped, record on-time performance manually using records from pilots, gate agents and/or ground crews. Our on-time performance is then published alongside other domestic airlines monthly through Government reporting.

In accordance with industry standards, we measure an 'on-time' departure as one that departs the gate within 15 minutes of the scheduled departure time. Our on-time performance statistics are published by the Australian Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional EconomicsOpens in a new tab or window
