Check-in counters at Tom Bradley International Airport are located in Aisle B, counters B23-32.

Self-service kiosks are available throughout the terminal. Check-in at the counter and bag drop is available for all flights from 3.30pm. Check-in closes 60 minutes before each flight departure.

Online check-in is available for Qantas international flights (QF1-199), and other eligible connecting flights operated by oneworld, partner and codeshare airlines.

Online check-in is open from 24 hours to two hours before departure for international flights.

All customers arriving at Los Angeles must collect their baggage and clear customs and immigration, regardless of their final destination.

Baggage carousels are located in the arrivals hall. 

Information monitors display flight carousel numbers.

Baggage services in both terminals is handled by Hallmark Central Baggage Services (CBS).

All passengers arriving in Los Angeles (LAX), regardless of whether their final destination is international or domestic, must clear immigration, collect their baggage and clear customs.

For passengers transiting through Los Angeles with a connecting flight to New York on the QF11:

• Baggage is to be collected and cleared through customs at LAX. 
• Once bags are cleared, passengers are to proceed to the Connecting Flights area to place their bags on the transfer belt located after Customs.
  
• Baggage is then security screened by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Bags may be opened by TSA for additional screening during this process.
  
• Baggage is then loaded onto the QF11.
  
• Passengers will then proceed to the departure level TSA security screening check point, before making their way to the QF11 departure gate.

Note: Passengers will not go through any additional passport or baggage control upon arrival in New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

Customers arriving into T4 with a connecting flight to New York on the QF11 departing from TBIT can now reach their gate with a short five-minute walk between terminals.

• Once at TBIT, and cleared through Passport and Baggage control, passengers are to proceed to the Connecting Flights area to place their bags on the transfer belt.
• Baggage is then security screened by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Bags may be opened by TSA for additional screening during this process.
  
• Baggage is then re-loaded onto the QF11.
  
• Passengers will then proceed to the departure level TSA security screening check point, before making their way to the QF11 departure gate.
  

Note: Passengers will not go through any additional passport or baggage control upon arrival in New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

Customers arriving into T4 from a domestic service with connecting flights departing from TBIT can now reach their gate via T4 Connector to TBIT, which is adjacent to T4 Gate 41. Customers using the T4 Connector are not required to go through additional security screening at TBIT and checked luggage that is tagged to a customer's final destination will be transferred to connecting flights.

Customers connecting from T5 to T4, can walk straight from the arrival gates at T5 to the departure gates at T4 without having to exit the secured side of the TSA screening area.
