We recognise that climate change is a significant issue for the aviation industry. That’s why we're committed to reducing our carbon emissions by net 25% by 2030 (from 2019 levels) and achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
By purchasing and investing in more efficient aircraft and sustainable aviation fuel, minimising waste and single-use plastics, and investing in carbon offset projects that meet our internal requirements for integrity and quality, we're working towards a brighter future.

We're improving efficiency through fleet modernisation, investing in carbon offsets projects and supporting the development of a sustainable aviation fuel industry in Australia.
Sustainable aviation fuel
Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) can be made from renewable sources including used cooking oils, council and agricultural waste and energy crops. SAF has the potential to reduce lifecycle CO2 emissions by up to 80% when compared to traditional jet fuel.
Fleet efficiency
Focusing on fleet modernisation, plus other initiatives in the air and on the ground including more efficient flight planning systems, will lead to improving operational efficiency.
Carbon markets
We invest in carbon projects outside the aviation industry that avoid, reduce or remove emissions and, in many cases, also provide broader community and environmental benefits.
