The best time to visit Aspen is during winter from December to February. The town dazzles as the mountains are buried under fresh powder, ready for the ski season. Spring is the least crowded season in Aspen. If you’re looking to get away without any crowds, spring is the time to do it. Temperatures range from -6ºC to 15ºC, perfect for hiking. Aspen is full of life during the summer. The snow melts and brings bright, vibrant greenery. With weather averaging in the 20ºC, it’s the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors.

Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE). Also known as Sardy Field, is a county-owned public-use airport located 5km northwest of the central business district of Aspen, in Pitkin County, Colorado, United States.

Arriving in Aspen

The staff at Aspen Airport will greet you when you land and assist with your needs. Once you collect your bags from the arrivals area, there are various transport options available to get you on your way.

Getting into Aspen from Aspen Airport

With options ranging from public transport to app-based ride services, you can find a mode of transport to meet your travel needs. Public transport options include a bus service provided by RFTA which is free into Aspen and Snowmass. Follow the signs at the baggage claim exit. Several companies provide car rentals at ASE. Rental car counters are located in the baggage claim/arrivals area of the terminal. Rental car return is conveniently located a few minutes walk from the terminal. Taxis, limousines and hotel shuttles can be met directly outside baggage claim in the ground transportation circle, while ridesharing services can be met directly on the front drive.

Getting around Aspen

The best way to get around Aspen is on foot or by bus. With limited parking and the challenges of driving in winter weather, having a car can be slightly tricky. The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) bus provides safe, convenient service throughout the region. There are free Aspen shuttles are available to get around.

Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD). Is an international airport in Sydney, Australia located 8 km south of the Sydney central business district, in the suburb of Mascot.

Passengers travelling from Sydney, ensure you check-in online or via the Qantas App before you arrive at the airport from 24 hours before departure.
