About the program
Bring your world a little closer with Qantas’ discounted Resident Fares. Whether you’re flying to meet new family members, chasing your career dreams, or taking your local team to new heights, you can use your address to access exclusive discounted return flights to your eligible city.
Eligible residents can access discounts starting from 20% off the Qantas-controlled component of all-inclusive return fares (i.e. excludes government taxes, security and airport charges) from regional airports to their eligible city.
To book, residents need to be members of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program which automatically links to your eligible residential address. Log in to your Frequent Flyer account using your membership number before booking flights. Non-members can join for free today.
Discounts are available on Economy fares, for personal travel; including same-day flights, last-minute trips or trips during peak travel times. Discounts are not available on sale fares or Business fares.

- Eligible customers in Queensland include residents of a town or city serviced by Barcaldine, Blackall, Cloncurry, Longreach, Moranbah or Mount Isa Airports.
- Eligible customers in Western Australia include residents of a town or city serviced by Broome, Kalgoorlie, Karratha, Newman, Onslow, Paraburdoo or Port Hedland Airports.
- Eligible customers in the Northern Territory include residents of a town or city serviced by Alice Springs Airport.
- A maximum of 12 return trips are permitted to be booked per resident each year.
- Eligible residents can access discounts starting from 20% off the Qantas-controlled component of fares (excluding government taxes, security and airport charges).
- Discounts are not available on sale fares or Business fares, unless booking eligible fares during the Resident Fares Sale.
- Trips must originate in the regional port and be a return trip. No one-way or multi-city trips are permitted and no other regional ports qualify. Flights are subject to availability.
- Passenger name and address entered in the booking must be the same as that in the member’s Qantas Frequent Flyer profile.
- Travel must be for leisure or personal purposes only (i.e. not for business).
- Qantas reserves the right to request documentation at any time to confirm the residency of a customer.
- Qantas reserves the right to cancel bookings found to be in breach of the scheme’s terms and conditions.
- Flight prices are per adult in Australian Dollars. Prices are not guaranteed until payment is made.
- Discounted fares for residents are only available for flights operated by Qantas and QantasLink and not with any other carrier.

Log in to your Frequent Flyer account and click through to ‘personal information'. Here, you can update your home address by entering your most up to date address. You can finalise this change by selecting ‘update details’.
No, eligible flights must originate from the port servicing your regional city and fly to your eligible city, detailed in the eligible flights table above. No one-way or multi-city trips are permitted and no other regional ports qualify.
To ensure that the people who access these fares are eligible regional residents, the address associated with their Qantas Frequent Flyer account is checked against a list of eligible postcodes. To ensure that the people who access these fares are eligible regional residents, we require the trip to be booked originating from their eligible regional airport. To ensure eligible regional residents can access these fares in both directions, we ensure that the eligible fares are booked as a return trip. If you wanted to book a one-way flight as you’re unsure of your return date, our resident fares program includes unlimited fee-free flight changes (a fare difference may apply), allowing flexibility with your return date. You'll need to change your flight before your scheduled date of departure and select a new travel date within 12 months of your original booking date.
