Anyone who has not earned Qantas Points on a Qantas Points earning credit card into their Qantas Frequent Flyer or Qantas Business Rewards account in the 12 months prior to the date of registration for the offer.
If your registration for the first-time cardholder 20,000 bonus points offer was successful you will have received an email confirmation within five business days of registering.
Qantas Frequent Flyer is issuing these bonus points as they are our way of rewarding new Qantas Points earning credit card holders. The 20,000 extra Qantas Points are separate to the bonus points that will be issued by the relevant Card provider when you take out a new Qantas Points earning credit card and reach the minimum spend criteria required.
Your Qantas Frequent Flyer account will be credited with 20,000 Qantas Points under the description ‘Credit Card Bonus’.
If you have successfully fulfilled the offer requirements, please allow up to 12 weeks for your bonus 20,000 Qantas Points to be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer or Qantas Business Rewards account with the description ‘Credit Card Bonus’. Qantas Points earned from your first purchase must be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer or Qantas Business Rewards account by 31 January 2025 in order to be eligible for the first-time cardholder 20,000 bonus points offer.
Bonus points (not the first-time cardholders extra 20,000 points) are offered by the relevant Card partner and partner reward program and can only be earned on eligible purchases. Bonus point amounts offered are different for each credit card. Minimum spend criteria applies. You will need to visit the applicable Card partner terms for more information.

You will receive the higher first-time cardholders bonus offer if you apply and are approved for a Qantas Money Premier Platinum credit card, even if you have registered for the 20,000 extra Qantas Points offer. To be eligible to receive the 20,000 extra Qantas Points, members must a) register between 12.01am (AEST) 1 October and 11.59pm (AEDT) 31 October 2024 and receive a confirmation email to the nominated email address in your Qantas Frequent Flyer account within five business days, b) apply for any card featured on qantas.com/cards and be approved by the relevant card partner, and c) make an eligible purchase on their new card within 30 days. Qantas Points earned from the member’s first purchase must be credited to their Qantas Frequent Flyer or Qantas Business Rewards account by 31 January 2025. Qantas Points are taken to be credited on the date they appear in the Qantas Frequent Flyer or Qantas Business Rewards activity statement which can be checked online at qantas.com/myaccount If you have successfully fulfilled the offer requirements, please allow up to 12 weeks for your extra 20,000 Qantas Points to be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer or Qantas Business Rewards account with the description ‘Credit Card Bonus’. The 20,000 extra Qantas Points are offered by Qantas and are separate to bonus points offers from our program partners. Qantas may end or vary this offer at any time.
