Qantas Promotion: Points Cracker and Prize Draw | Terms and Conditions

1. The Promotion

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry in the ‘Points Cracker’ (Promotion) and in the ‘Major Prize Draw’ (Promotion) is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Headings in this document are included for ease of reference, and do not affect interpretation in any way.

2. The Promotion is a game of chance.

2. Promoter’s Details

1. The promoter is Qantas Airways Limited (ABN 16 009 661 901) of 10 Bourke Road, Mascot, NSW 2020 (Telephone: 13 11 31) (Promoter).

3. Promotion Period

1. All references to time in this document are a reference to the local time in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia on the date stated. The promotion commences at 12.01am (AEDT) 16 December 2024 and closes at 4pm (AEDT) 20 December 2024, or when all prizes have been allocated, whichever is earlier (Promotional Period).

4. Eligibility to enter

1. Entry into the promotion is open only to members of the Australian public who:

(a) are Qantas Frequent Flyer members; and

(b) are Australian residents; and

(c) have an up to date email address in their Qantas Frequent Flyer, My Profile, Personal Information section as at 4pm (AEDT) 20 December, 2024; and

(d) successfully play the Points Cracker game within the Qantas App during the Promotional Period.

Any entrant under 18 years of age must first obtain parental/guardian consent prior to entering this Promotion.

5. Definitions

1. ‘Minor Prize’ refers to the prize an Eligible Entrant wins when playing the Points Cracker game against another player. These prizes include: 10 Status Credits, 100 Qantas Points, 5,000 Qantas Points, $50 Qantas Hotels voucher, $5 Uber voucher, Stampix set of 15 prints, and a $20 Athlete’s Foot voucher. There will be up to 408,600 Minor Prize winners.

2. ‘Major Prize Draw’ refers to the prize draw Eligible Entrants are entered into when playing the Points Cracker game. There will be one (1) winner of this prize draw. The Major Prize Draw is detailed in clause [5]

6. How to Enter into the Promotion

1. Eligible Entrants will receive one (1) entry into the Promotion when they log into the Qantas App and participate in the Points Cracker game during the Promotional Period. There is a maximum of one (1) Points Cracker prize per game. By playing the Points Cracker, all Eligible Entrants will receive one (1) entry to the Major Prize Draw. Limit of one play per Qantas Frequent Flyer member during the Promotion Period, and one prize per play.

2. The Promoter is not responsible for any lost, late or misdirected entries.

3. The time of entry will be deemed to be the time the entry is received by the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and Eligible Entrants (including an entrant's identity, age, place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

7. Determination of Minor Prizes & Drawing of Major Prize

1. The Points Cracker game is accessible through the Qantas App, There will be two (2) eligible players in each game. There will be only one (1) winner in each game. Eligible Entrants will be notified at the time of playing the Points Cracker game which player is the winner.

2. For the Major Prize Draw there will be a total of one (1) draw. The Major Prize Draw will take place at 10am (AEDT) on 3 January 2025 at MDSA, Level 16, 1 Denison Street, North Sydney NSW 2060. The Major Prize Draw will be conducted by MDSA (Drawer).

3. The result of the Minor Prize Determination and Major Prize Draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

8. Prize Pool

1. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be sold, traded or bartered. They may not be redeemed for cash, cheque or credit, except where required by law.

2. Each prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a Winner is unable to use the prize as stated. Prizes are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services. A prize cannot be transferred to any other person, unless agreed to by the Promoter. It is a condition of accepting a prize that the Winner accepts the conditions of use of that Prize.

3. If the Prize (or part of the prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority and the Prize Winner will be notified accordingly.

4. The maximum notional value of the total prize pool is up to A$2,476,453.10.

Minor Prizes

(a) The maximum total notional value of all Minor Prizes to be won is up to $2,467,396. Individual Points Cracker prizes have a notional value of up to $400, and will be randomly awarded. The Prize values are in Australian Dollars. At the completion of each. Points Cracker game the winner will be notified of the prize they will receive. Minor Prizes will be awarded eight (8) weeks after the Promotion Period close date. The maximum notional value of the Prizes is provided for information purposes only and will vary depending on whether and how it is redeemed by a prize winner.

Minor Prize Draw

10 Status Credits

Status Credits will appear in the winner’s Qantas Frequent Flyer account within eight weeks after the end of the Promotional Period. Status Credits are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer Terms and Conditions Bonus Status Credits will not contribute towards any Loyalty Bonuses, or any Platinum or Platinum One Bonus Rewards or any Qantas Status Accelerator.

Qantas Points will appear in the winner’s Qantas Frequent Flyer account within eight weeks after the end of the Promotional Period. The notional value of 100 Qantas Points is $8. The Prize value is accurate as at 6 November 2024 and based on one passenger, one way economy, 1 April 2024, SYD to MEL. The estimate of the notional value of the prize is provided for information purposes only. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the maximum notional value of the prize and there will be no difference paid to the winner between the maximum notional value and the actual value.

The estimate of the notional value of the prize is provided for information purposes only. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the maximum notional value of the prize and there will be no difference paid to the winner between the maximum notional value and the actual value.

$50 Qantas Hotels and Holidays Voucher

The $50 Qantas Hotels and Holidays voucher is redeemable through Qantas Hotels or Qantas Holidays at qantas.com/hotels or qantas.com/holidays The voucher cannot be redeemed on Qantas Tours, Qantas Entertainment or Airbnb. Voucher expires on 11.59pm (AEDT) 24 December 2025. Only one unique voucher code can be used per transaction. The voucher can only be used in one transaction and any unused portion of the voucher will be forfeited. Cannot be combined or used in conjunction with any other offer. Voucher is not transferable. Voucher will be issued to the winner within eight weeks of the end of the Promotional Period.

Valid for up to $5 off on your next Uber ride. The promotional code will expire on 31 January 2025 11.59pm. Offer redeemable in Australia only. Not valid for Uber for Business profiles or for purchases through the Uber Eats app. The promotion applies to the value of the trip fare only and does not apply to tolls, surcharges, levies, cancellation fees, wait fees or any other fee or charge. Offer cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other promotion. Offer and terms are subject to change. Voucher will be issued to the winner within eight weeks of the end of the Promotional Period.

9. Major Prize Draw

1. Entrants will be automatically entered into the Major Prize Draw to win an International Holiday for two (2) to Singapore. Including, return Qantas economy flights, (5) nights at the Mondrian Singapore Duxton and $2,000 SGD spending money with Qantas Pay. Prize cannot be applied to existing, future, or past bookings.

2. The Major Prize Draw includes a maximum total notional value of up to $9,057.10.

3. Qantas Airways Limited Group management and any employees who have assisted with delivery of this competition involved in the competition are ineligible to win the ‘Major Prize Draw’.

Flights:

Return flights in Economy class where available with Qantas for two (2) adults, from the winner’s nearest Australian capital city to Singapore. Flight associated taxes are included. Flights are valued as at 25 November 2025.

Accommodation:

Dates of the stay must be between 25 December 2024 and 25 December 2025.
The original voucher must be presented upon the utilisation of the service.
If the voucher cannot be produced, payment must be made for the accommodation booked or the food and beverages consumed.
This voucher is not exchangeable for cash, non-transferrable, non-refundable and is to be fully utilised in a single transaction.
Any unused balance will be forfeited and cannot be refunded.
The voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts, promotions and privileges.
Confirmation of reservation is subject to room/restaurant availability, black out dates apply.
This voucher is valid till the expiry date indicated and may not be extended beyond the expiry date.
There will be no replacement for lost or misplaced vouchers.
Mondrian Singapore Duxton reserves the right to vary and amend any of the above terms and conditions without prior notice.

QPay Card Spending Money:

2,000 Singapore dollars (equivalent to AU $2,288.10 as of 21 November 2024) will be loaded on a Qantas Pay card. The winner will need to sign up and be approved for Qantas Pay. Qantas Pay is a prepaid Mastercard® payment facility (previously known as Qantas Travel Money built into the back of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Membership Card.) Qantas Travel Money is no longer available for sale. To be eligible to receive the Qantas Pay card, you must be an Australian resident Qantas Frequent Flyer member 16 years of age or older. 1. The prize includes GST and taxes included in the price of the ticket. Unless otherwise stated, the prize does not include travel insurance, passports, visas, meals, taxes not included in the price of the ticket, ground transportation, flights, accommodation or any other costs of a personal nature. Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the prize-winner and companion. The Promoter makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. Prize travel is subject to Qantas’ General Conditions of Carriage.

2. Prize travel and accommodation is subject to availability at the time of booking and prize travel is subject to availability of prize travel fares at the time of booking. The winner and their companion must travel together on all prize travel and will not accrue Qantas Points on any element of the prize. An upgrade cannot be purchased on airfares with cash or Qantas Points.

3. Prize travel and accommodation is valid from 25 December 2024 to 25 December 2025. Subject to seat availability on Qantas / QantasLink operated flights. There must be at least four (4) weeks notice for the Qantas flight booking. There can be no changes to travel arrangements once tickets have been issued or accommodation bookings once the reservation is confirmed.

4. The Promoter reserves the right to require the winner (and their companion) to sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter, Agent, or suppliers of prizes, in their absolute discretion including without limitation a form of waiver or release with respect to acceptance or usage of the prize, or any liability arising out of or in relation to a Prize or this Competition.

5. All components of the prize are subject to availability. In the event that any component of a prize is unavailable for any reason, subject to State legislation, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute that prize component with another prize of equal value and the prize winner will be notified accordingly.

6. The Prize may not be resold or offered for resale at a premium (including via online auction sites) or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services by the bearer.

7. In accepting the prize, the winner agrees to participate and cooperate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winner grants the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.

8. The winner and their travelling companion agree that they will not sell or otherwise make available their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation.

9. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winners must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s requirements.

10. Notification of Winner

Minor Prize Draw

1. Within two (2) business days of the end of the Promotional Period, the Promoter will notify the Prize Winners by email using the email registered with the Promoter in the Prize Winner’s Qantas Frequent Flyer account. Winners of prizes valued over $250 will also have their first initial and surname published on the Qantas website from 6 January 2025, for a period of 30 days. The postcode of any winner who is a South Australian resident will also be published unless that winner requests otherwise.

2. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from accepting or using a Prize. Independent financial advice should be sought.

Major Prize Draw

1. Within two (2) business days of the Major Prize Draw, the Promoter will notify the Prize Winner by:

(a) email, at the email registered with the Promoter;

(b) telephone, at the telephone number registered with the Promoter;

(c) publishing the Prize Winner’s first initial and surname on the Qantas website from 6 January 2025, for a period of 30 days. The postcode of any winner who is a South Australian resident will also be published unless that winner requests otherwise; and

2. If a Prize Winner:

(a) responds within one (1) calendar month, they will have been deemed to have accepted their Prize (Winner’s Acceptance); or

(b) fails to respond within one (1) calendar month of the prize draw, their prize will be deemed unclaimed.

3. The Promoter reserves the right to redraw in the event of an Eligible Entrant being unable to satisfy these promotion terms and conditions or forfeiting or not claiming the prize. If a prize remains unclaimed at 5pm (AEDT) on 3 February 2025, a second chance draw will be conducted by the Drawer on 6 February 2025 at the same time and place as the original draw, subject to any written direction given under applicable law. The Winner determined in accordance with this clause will be notified by email and phone within 2 business days after the draw and their first initial, surname, and postcode will be published on the Qantas website from 13 February 2025 for a period of 30 days.

4. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from accepting or using a Prize. Independent financial advice should be sought.

11. Limitation of liability and variation of terms

1. If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations. The Promoter reserves the right (subject to any applicable law) to cancel, terminate or modify or suspend this promotion.

2. The Promoter reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time in its sole discretion for administrative reasons or to ensure efficient operation of the Promotion. Changes will be posted on the Qantas website The Promoter, its related bodies corporate and their respective officers, employees, contractors and agents, including prize providers Qantas Loyalty, Qantas Hotels, Uber, Stampix and Athlete's Foot (Promotion Parties) will not be liable for any losses, damages, expenses, costs or personal injuries arising out of this promotion, the promotion of this promotion or the use of any prize, including but not limited to any breach of these terms and conditions, contract or tort (including negligence) and any other common law, equitable or statutory remedy (Damages) whatsoever, including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential Damages, including Damages that cannot reasonably be considered to arise naturally and in the ordinary course of things, even if those Damages were in the contemplation of the Promotion Parties.

3. The exclusion of liability in clause 9.3 does not apply to limit or exclude liability:

(a) for personal injury or death suffered or sustained in connection with the supply of goods or services which are supplied by the Promoter in the ordinary course of business. To remove doubt, third party goods or services, which other than in connection with this promotion, are in the normal course of business supplied by a third party unrelated to the Promotion Parties, are not supplied by the Promoter in the ordinary course of business; or

(b) to the extent it is not permissible at law to limit or exclude liability in the manner contemplated in that clause (in which case that liability is limited to the maximum extent allowable by law).

12. Entry details and privacy

1. By playing the Points Cracker you are consenting to your QFF membership number being captured by Qantas Frequent Flyer and shared with any third party necessary for prize fulfilment purposes. Data will not be used for any other purposes and will be destroyed once prize fulfilment has occurred.

2. Entry details remain the property of the Promoter and their subsidiaries.

3. Minor Prize Draw: Entrants acknowledge that the Qantas Frequent Flyer number and email address linked to their Qantas Frequent Flyer account will be used to fulfil Points Cracker prizes.

4. Major Prize Draw: Entrants acknowledge that if they are drawn as the winning entry, Qantas Airways Limited will contact them via the email and phone number linked to their Qantas Frequent Flyer account to ask for their contact details to facilitate their prize, including their name and address. The name of the prize winner may be used for promotional purposes by the Promoter, unless the winner otherwise notifies the Promoter at the time of accepting the prize. Entrants consent to the Promoter using personal information provided in connection with this promotion for the purposes of facilitating the conduct of the promotion and awarding any prizes (including to third parties involved in the promotion and any applicable statutory authorities) and to conduct marketing activities.
