Geraldton offers a wide range of accommodation options, suiting all types of budgets. Within close proximity to the beaches and buzzing city centre, you’ll find great hotels to stay such as the Mantra offering ocean views. Geraldton is a coastal playground with a busy marina, great beaches and consistent summer winds that make it a mecca for windsurfers, kitesurfers and those wanting to lap up that West Australian sunshine. Two of Geraldton’s most popular festivals are Funtavia, Geraldton’s own fringe world festival of music, comedy and theatre held over three days in February; or visit during April to experience Wind on Water (WOW), an annual event with water sports and concerts on the foreshore.
Take an evening to relax, and set yourself up at at the striking HMAS Sydney II Memorial, one of the locals' favourite spots, to watch the sun set over the Indian Ocean. The Point Moore Lighthouse is an icon of the city and also a great place to stop and take in the magnificent ocean view while learning some of the region’s history.

This group of 122 rugged islands sits around 60 kilometres off Geraldton’s coast, and is a haven for fishermen and scuba divers. Home to a diverse marine and bird population, and the southernmost coral reef in the world, explore this pristine archipelago by scenic flight or join a 3-9 day charter tour for a more in-depth experience.
About an hour’s drive north of Geraldton is the holiday village of Port Gregory, home of the Pink Lake. Marvel at the colourful hue that’s constantly changing depending on the time of day, month and cloud coverage, or take a scenic flight and witness the wonder from the sky. The most popular times to visit are either in the morning or at sunset.
From the airport: Geraldton Airport is situated approximately 10 kilometres east of the centre. Taxis are available from the terminal.
In and around the city: Geraldton Associated Taxis and Geraldton Greenough Taxis service the city. A public bus line operates in and around town. A car is the best way to explore the wider region, or book a tour with one of the many local providers.
