Status from flying
The Qantas Frequent Flyer program offers rewards and recognition well beyond Qantas Points for our Frequent Flyers.
By earning Status Credits on eligible Qantas, Jetstar, oneworld® member and partner airline flights, you can unlock exclusive travel benefits and services as you progress through our status tiers.
What are Status Credits?
Status Credits are designed to reward your loyalty for flying with Qantas and our partners. The more eligible flights you take, the more Status Credits you earn and the faster you can achieve and retain Qantas Frequent Flyer status spanning Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum One. Status Credits differ from Qantas Points; while you may earn both simultaneously on your flight, Status Credits reset at the start of each new Membership Year.
How to move up through the tiers
Earn the required number of Status Credits outlined in the table below by taking eligible flights with Qantas, Jetstar, oneworld® member or partner airlines
Of these eligible flights, you must take at least four with a Qantas (QF) or Jetstar (JQ, 3K and GK) flight number on the ticket that earns you Status Credits
You'll advance to the next tier when you meet these requirements within your Membership Year
Qantas Frequent Flyer membership tiers
The higher the tier, the more benefits you receive, such as Status Bonuses, priority check-in, lounge access and much more. With five membership tiers, we have lots of ways to reward every one of our members. See your journey through the program
Status Credits required to reach or keep your Frequent Flyer status
You’ll enjoy the benefits of your new membership tier from the moment you reach it, to the end of the next full Membership Year. The earlier in the Membership Year you reach a higher tier, the longer you have to make the most of the benefits.

The Status Credits you earn from flying depends on where you fly, your choice of airline and the fare purchased. The more flexible the fare and more premium the cabin, the more you earn.
More benefits for our members
Long-term loyalty leads to lifetime recognition
Earn enough Status Credits, and Silver, Gold or Platinum membership will be yours for life, regardless of how often you fly. We're the only Australian airline loyalty program to reward members with Lifetime status - it's our way of thanking you for your loyalty over the years.
Status Hold for families
We understand the importance of families, especially when there's a new addition on the way. While your family may be changing, and you might not be flying as much, it doesn't mean your membership status has to change as well.
