Stopping over for 4 or 5 days?

If you're staying in Singapore for 4 or 5 days, you should take this opportunity to delve deeper into the foodie haven of Singapore. We reccomend discovering the different Hawker centres, strolling through herb and spice gardens, sampling more of the foodie hotspots across the city and perhaps getting involved in a cooking class.

Little India

Visit Little India

Head to the neighbourhood of Little India and be struck by the vibrancy, the scents and see where Singaporeans of different ethnicities come together. Explore where the locals go for the freshest seafood and spices by browsing the various stalls at Tekka Centre. Have a teh tarik (pulled tea) in the local hawker stalls or for something more substantial, try a biriyani or, if you're feeling brave, a fish head curry

Wander round Fort Canning Park

Having smelt and tasted the various different herbs and spices in the local dishes, visit Fort Canning Park to see them in their original form. The original 19-hectare garden was built on Fort Canning Hill by Sir Stamford Raffles. Nowadays, the small replica garden grows popular spices and herbs such as ginger, laksa leaves, pandan plus other herbs used in traditional medicine.

Sip a Singapore Sling at Raffles

First opened in 1887, this iconic landmark in Singapore is something to not be missed during your stay. Head to the hotel's Long Bar and grab yourself a famous Singapore Sling cocktail. This beautiful, colonial hotel is currently undergoing restoration works and is due to reopen in the second half of 2018.
