Wellington International AirportOpens in a new tab or window (WLG) is located in the suburb of Rongotai in Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand. It's located 5.5 km (3.5 miles) south-east from the city centre.

Departures

Ticketing

There are no ticketing facilities available at the airport.

Contact the local Qantas office for assistance.

Check-in

Check-in is located on the first floor and closes 1 hour before flight departure.

Check in at least two hours before departure. Have your passport and airline tickets ready.

For Qantas codeshare flights, customers may need to check in with the operating carrier rather than with Qantas. Ask airport staff for more detail.

Online check-in is available for Qantas international flights (QF1-199), and other eligible connecting flights operated by oneworld, partner and codeshare airlines. Online check-in is open from 24 hours to two hours before departure for international flights.

Arrivals

Baggage

Baggage carousels are located in the arrivals hall on the ground floor.

Information monitors display flight carousel numbers.

Baggage services is handled by Menzies office and is open between the following hours:

12pm to 2pm and 4pm to 4:30pm - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
10:45am to 12:30pm and 4pm to 4:30pm - Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
