In the heart of the Downtown area, you'll find some of the luxury stays this ritzy city is known for like The Joule, The Adolphus and Omni Dallas Hotel. Make sure you visit the Dallas Arts District, the largest in the US, filled with world-class museums, like the Dallas Museum of Art this area is ever-evolving. Want to support the team? Visit the Dallas Cowboys headquarters, The Star in Frisco and if you're lucky you may spot the team on training day.
Spend your afternoons outdoors, drink a pitcher at The Truck Yard, a former junkyard turned beer garden. Once you catch a whiff of the famed southern BBQ, it won't be long before you seek out one of the city's smokehouses. Iconic joints like Pecan Lodge, Cattleack Barbeque and Mac's Bar-B-Que serve up some of the city's best grub.
To sample another side of the city's diverse culinary scene, visit Trompo for tacos, Khao Noodle Shop for a Laotian feast or Petra and the Beast for an innovative tasting menu. Sip cocktails at Truth & Alibi or listen to some old school blues at Louie Louie's piano bar, Deep Ellum is the neighbourhood is the place to be. Scooting out of Dallas with a full belly, bag and camera, the next city will have big boots to fill.

Over 24 days, this world-famous fair brings together food, music and Texan culture all under the shadow of one giant Ferris wheel. Brimming with deep-fried goodies, award-winning crafts, cute baby animals and concerts that kick on even after the sugar rush has worn off, it's worth joining in on the celebrations.
Just a half hour's drive from central Dallas, Fort Worth has that cowboy feel you come to Texas for. Take in the history of this Wild West city at the National Cowboys of Colour Museum, the National Cowgirls Museum or the Texas Cowboys Hall of Fame. To catch some cowboys and cowgirls in action, visit the Stockyards Rodeo or stop in at Billy Bob's Texas where bulls go hand in hand with bands and beers.
From the airport: Qantas flights to Dallas arrive at Terminal D of Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. You can take an Uber, taxi, catch the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) to your hotel.
In and around the city: enjoy the free D-Link service to explore downtown Dallas and historic Oak Cliff areas.
The DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) provides reliable transportation to key locations around the city including the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Centre Dallas, hotels, shopping and attractions.
