Qantas Entertainment app

The app is compatible with most phones and tablets running Apple iOS 15 or above, or Android 9.0 and above. Your device^ will also need to support 802.11n or 802.11ac Wi-Fi with the ability to set your device to flight mode.

The app is used to watch movies and TV shows provided by Qantas; it doesn't connect to the internet using Qantas Free Wi-Fi. On selected domestic Australian flights, where Qantas Free Wi-Fi is available, you can  access the internet through your browser.

The app is only available onboard Qantas aircraft, except those with seat-back screens.

You must use your device in accordance with our personal electronic device policy and follow the instructions of cabin crew at all times. They'll advise when you are able to use your device and when flight mode must be enabled. Devices without flight mode can't be used at any time and must be switched off.

Connecting to a Wi-Fi network varies from device to device, but the process is no different to connecting to a hotspot in a hotel or internet café. On most devices you can view and connect to available Wi-Fi networks within the settings option.

The network name on the aircraft will appear as 'Qantas Entertainment' or 'Qantas Free Wi-Fi'.

Make sure you have the latest app version, that your device meets the compatibility criteria and is set to the correct date and time. Check with our cabin crew that you're on an aircraft fitted with the Qantas Entertainment app.

The large variation in personal devices does make it challenging to ensure problem-free operation on all potential devices brought onboard. We're continually developing the app to ensure operation on a wide range of popular devices. To assist with this, share your experience with us.

Although flight mode is activated, Wi-Fi can still be turned on. Having the device in flight mode will ensure your mobile network and Bluetooth transmissions are disabled.
