Hôtel des Saints-Pères
Built by Louis XIV’s chief architect Daniel Gittard in 1658, the Hôtel des Saints-Pères is a treasure trove of unique architectural features in the French style created by Gittard. Inside, there’s plenty to look at, including a fresco completed in 1666 and rediscovered in 1980 after a dropped ceiling was removed during renovations. It’s located in Saint-Germain-des-Pres, near the Café Flore, Le Bon Marché, L’Ecole des Beaux Arts de Paris and the Luxembourg Garden.
