Though “Amalfi Coast” conjures images of a technicolour terraces tumbling down the cliffside, the town that gives the region its moniker is populated instead with a collection whitewashed buildings that run vertically across the shore. This makes it a more walkable town than others along the coast; be sure to walk to the Medieval cathedral in Piazza del Duomo.
