You Can Book the Downton Abbey Estate on Airbnb – For One Night Only
Dust off your elbow-length gloves and slip into top and tails – the palatial Crawley Estate that anchors the Downton Abbey TV series and film is now available to rent on Airbnb.
In conjunction with the much-anticipated Downton Abbey movie, the 6000-hectare Hampshire estate of Highclere Castle will welcome two lucky guests for a once-in-a-lifetime overnight stay.
The Earl and Countess of Carnavon – who call the extensive digs home – will host, with guests treated to a single night sleepover in one of the main bedrooms (with ensuite, of course), an evening of cocktails in the Saloon, dinner in the State Dining Room and coffee and tea in the Library. Waited on by Highclere’s current butler, it’s certain to be a most civilised affair (even Lady Violet would approve).
The experience doesn’t end there: after spending the night in the 300-room castle, guests will enjoy breakfast and a tour of the meticulous grounds.
The one-night extravaganza will be open for booking on 1 October at 9pm AEST, with an asking price of £150 (A$270). Good luck!
