Actor Chris Hemsworth has helped launch Tourism Australia’s newest international campaign, which showcases the country’s best aquatic and coastal experiences.

Throughout the campaign, Hemsworth provides the narration to incredible aquatic footage, which spans swimming in Sydney Harbour, kayaking through Katherine Gorge and walking the Three Capes Track in Tasmania.

“I have always been so proud to be Australian and it’s a pretty special feeling knowing that I will have a role in promoting my country to the world and encouraging more people to come Down Under and experience our amazing beaches and landscapes for themselves,” said Hemsworth.

The campaign includes scenes filmed using virtual reality and 360-degree mobile technology to capture the destinations like never before. Here are some of the highlights.

Whitehaven Beach, The Whitsundays, Qld

This beautiful beach stretches seven kilometres along the Whitsunday Island and its pristine waters have made this one of the most photographed spots in Australia. Arrive at the beach on catamaran or take to the skies with a spectacular seaplane ride above the Great Barrier Reef and the iconic Heart Reef.

Echuca, The Murray River, Vic

Cottesloe Beach and Rottnest Island, WA

Soak up the relaxed seaside atmosphere of Perth’s Cottesloe Beach while watching the sun set over the Indian Ocean. While you’re visiting the west coast, cycle around Rottnest Island and get up close with friendly marsupials such as quokkas.
