WorldPride 2023: Arrive in Style on the Qantas Pride Flight

Qantas Pride Flight

WorldPride is coming down under for the first time ever in 2023 – and you’re invited. Expect glitter-filled parades, parties and creative celebrations of the LGBTQIA+ community as Sydney comes to life with more than 300 events in February and early March. To celebrate this historic moment, Qantas is launching a special Pride Flight to bring revellers from Los Angeles to the harbour city to join the party. Here’s what you need to know…

Qantas Pride Flight

Departing from Los Angeles on February 22 and landing in Sydney, the Pride Flight will be hosted by Australian comedian Joel Creasey and all passengers will receive limited-edition Rainbow Roo pyjamas as well as general admission tickets to Pride’s opening concert, Live and Proud: Sydney WorldPride Opening Concert on February 24, which will feature Kylie Minogue, Charlie XCX and Jessica Mauboy.

The inflight entertainment will kick off in the Qantas Los Angeles First Lounge for all passengers, with Creasey easing guests into the festive mood. You’ll also enjoy an exclusive menu created by acclaimed chef Neil Perry, along with a selection of movies and music curated just for the flight.

The 236-seat flight will be operated by the Qantas Illuminate network, a community of Qantas LGTIBQIA+ staff (along with their coworker allies) and the flight will offer Economy, Premium Economy and Business class cabins with zero net emissions. To honour the spirit of WorldPride, Qantas has also partnered with the International LGBTQ+ Travel Association to support the wider community travelling to Sydney during this time.
