With the Track my bags feature in the Qantas App, you can view the status of your checked baggage on eligible flights.
To be eligible for baggage tracking, whether flying direct or with a connecting flight, you’ll need to be travelling on a Qantas marketed and operated flight. Please note, it won't be available when flying on codeshare flights operated by Qantas, partner airlines or group bookings of more than 10 passengers.

This feature will only appear in the Trips section of your app if you have checked luggage, and if you're travelling on an eligible flight. You'll also need to have downloaded the latest version of the Qantas App
Baggage tracking is not available on Qantas codeshare flights.
Please proceed to the designated baggage carousel upon arrival in your destination. If your bag doesn't arrive, you can report delayed baggage on the Track my bags page in the Qantas App. If you require further assistance, you can proceed to the Qantas Baggage Services counter or call 1300 306 980 (within Australia) or the local airport contact if overseas.
After confirming there are no more bags at the designated carousel, you can report delayed baggage on the Track my bags page. If you still require assistance, you can proceed to the airport Baggage Services counter or call 1300 306 980 (within Australia).
If your Bluetooth tracking device and the Qantas App show your bag is in different locations, there are a number of reasons why this could happen, including:
- Your bag may not have scanned correctly in our systems; or
- Your Bluetooth tracking device could be inaccurate. Network coverage and environmental or physical obstructions, including the body of the aircraft, can affect the accuracy of Bluetooth tracking devices. Bluetooth Trackers that require an internet connection may also be less reliable; or
- Your bag may have been offloaded for operational reasons.
We recommend you still check the carousel on arrival and if your bag isn't there, you can report delayed baggage on the Track my bags page. If you still require assistance, you can proceed to the airport Baggage Services counter or call 1300 306 980 (within Australia).
Carousel information can change with short notice because of operational requirements. Please refer to the baggage carousel screens at the airport to confirm the correct carousel to collect your bags. Please note, carousel information is being progressively rolled out within the Qantas App.
Baggage carousel information is currently only available for selected flights and destinations. If you can’t see this feature, please refer to the baggage carousel screens at the airport. Please note, carousel information is being progressively rolled out within the Qantas App.

You’ll be able to see the checked bags and tracking information for all passengers who are travelling with you on the same booking reference. You will not be able to see other people's baggage information if they do not share the same booking reference as you, or if you have a group booking (greater than 10 passengers).
