From the airport: Townsville Airport is located approximately five km from the city centre in Garbutt. Taxis, shuttle bus services and Uber are available.
Around town: Sunbus runs the bus service in Townsville. Car and passenger ferries operate to Magnetic Island, where a bus service operates and hire vehicles are available. The best way to explore the surrounding region and national parks is by hire car or organised tour.
