The dining scene on Kangaroo Island is local, seasonal, boutique, artisan and always close to its source. From the airport: Kingscote Airport is located 14 kilometres from the main town of Kingscote. Other larger towns of Penneshaw (51km) and American River (29km) are also not far. Car hire is available at the airport or transfers are available – both are recommended to be booked in advance.
In and around the city: you'll need to hire a car or go on an organised tour to see the best of the island. Due to its size, there is no public transport or taxis on the island.
