Boeing 737-800s to get a cabin upgrade
Look forward to an improved, next-generation inflight experience on our Boeing 737-800s as we embark on cabin upgrades of 42 aircraft. Upgrades will include new Business and Economy seats with charging technology, refreshed interiors and larger overhead locker space for your carry-on baggage. These upgrades will ensure that as our new fleet continues to arrive, flying with us on our existing aircraft will look and feel new. The first upgraded 737-800 aircraft is set to fly from 2027.

Take off from Perth to Busselton in 2025
Explore the crystal-clear waters of Geographe Bay or discover the breathtaking Margaret River region with new flights between Perth and Busselton commencing 27 June 2025.

New A321XLR touching down soon
The countdown to the arrival of 28 Airbus A321XLRs is on, with the first aircraft now painted in the Qantas livery. Named Great Ocean Road after one of Australia’s most iconic coastal highways, the aircraft is expected to arrive in June 2025.

Indulge in more above the clouds
We’ve introduced an improved international dining experience in the Economy cabin. Meals will be served on a new underplate with an additional side such as a salad or cheese and crackers. You can also look forward to new dishes including Angus beef steak, roast chicken breast, pumpkin tortellini and more.

Qantas adds Sapporo to network
We’re excited to announce seasonal direct flights between Sydney and Sapporo, Japan. The new service marks the introduction of our 100th destination to the Qantas network with flights operating three times per week between 15 December 2025 and 28 March 2026.

Classic Plus Flight Rewards now available, Australia and beyond
With over 20 million reward seats to choose from across our international and domestic network, you can now fly to every Qantas destination with Classic Plus Flight Rewards. Enjoy widespread availability, including in peak travel periods, plus discounted fares during sales.

Group Boarding is flying further in 2025
We’re continuing to roll out Group Boarding on Qantas and QantasLink flights. This way of boarding allocates every passenger into separate boarding groups to help reduce congestion at the gate and create a smoother boarding experience helping us get away on time.

Find extra peace of mind with your Apple AirTag
When travelling with an Apple AirTag, you can now securely share the location of delayed baggage with our team. This new feature works alongside our existing baggage tracking tools, allowing our teams to help reunite you with your belongings as smoothly as possible.

Now open: Broome Regional Lounge
Qantas customers travelling through regional Western Australia can now enjoy an enhanced airport experience with the development of the Broome Regional Lounge, which has received a fresh new design, doubling its capacity.

New way to access help and support
It’s now even easier to access a range of help and support features from us. You can now track the status of your support cases, claim missing points, and make reimbursement claims directly through the app.

Qantas Regional Grants is back
We’re offering $2 million to support organisations and projects that provide a direct benefit to regional communities. Applications close on 10 May 2025.

Joining forces for reef restoration
Our partnership with the Great Barrier Reef Foundation helped Boats4Corals launch in December 2024 in the Cairns region. The project sees the reef community come together to collaborate on the Coral IVF restoration technique.

Celebrate our new partnership with 1 million Qantas Points
Qantas has partnered with Surf Life Saving Australia to promote water safety ahead of summer. Complete our Beach Passport course on basic water safety you’ll earn 150 Qantas Points for completing it and go into the drawer to win 1 million Qantas Points.
