For the kids (and parents), Nadi has plenty of babysitting services, kid-friendly experiences and even the world’s largest inflatable waterpark, Big Bula. Honeymooners, newlyweds and couples, let Nadi set the mood with its private dining experiences and romantic accommodation options. For budget travellers and backpackers more affordable accommodation can be found in the hustle and bustle of the city centre.
Nadi is a place of great beauty, rich culture and exciting not-to-be-missed experiences. If you've never been covered in mud from head to toe, a dip in a thermal mud bath is a must! With supposed age-defying benefits, it is a bizarre, relaxing experience.
For the Adrenaline seekers take a water safari around the islands via jet ski. Not scary enough? Nadi’s zip lines will suspend you high above the treetops on an adrenaline-fuelled rollercoaster. There’s also quad biking tours and snorkelling trips ideal for family groups with youngsters.

Read more on Travel InsiderDowntown Nadi offers a variety of local and international culinary delights, most commonly focused around Fijian seafood, exotic fruits and cassava. Kokoda is a favourite traditional dish to try – a local fish served in taro leaves. For a truly Fijian cultural experience, head to the markets to try Kava the local beverage.
Nadi town is a popular shopping spot selling Fijian handcrafts like Kava bowls, handmade jewellery, woven handbags and pottery. Shopping outlets are available at Denarau Marina with a supermarket, surf shop for any last minute supplies before heading out to the islands.
Getting from the airport: flights to Fiji arrive at Nadi International Airport, after which you will need a transfer to your hotel or island if you are leaving the mainland. You can fly to the larger Fiji islands like Vanua Levu.
In and around the city: getting around Nadi is easy and cheap. There are ferries and boat transfers available to travel around the main islands. On the mainland you could rent a car or take a taxi.
