Economy seating options
You can select your seat on Qantas operated flights when making your booking, or any time before you fly. The earlier you do so, the more choice you have. A charge may apply, depending on the seat type selected. Discover your Economy seating options with Qantas.
Complimentary Seat Selection
As a Qantas Frequent Flyer, enjoy complimentary standard seat selection when you book on any Qantas operated domestic or international flight departing Australia. If your flight isn't originating in Australia and you're a Platinum One, Platinum, Gold or Silver member, you'll also receive complimentary standard seat selection.

Extra Legroom
Enjoy added comfort in Economy with an Extra Legroom seat. Availability is limited, so make sure you reserve your seat early. If you’re a Platinum One member, Extra Legroom seats are complimentary.
Preferred Seats
Want to make sure that you're seated in the forward half of the cabin? Choose one of our preferred seats and enjoy sitting towards the front of the Economy cabin.
Preferred seats are complimentary for Platinum One, Platinum and Gold members.
Neighbour Free
When travelling on the majority of Australian domestic and International flights, Neighbour Free seating allows you to reserve the seat next to you, so it remains free throughout your flight.
