Classic Plus Flight Rewards have widespread availability giving you more choice of when and where you want to fly using your Qantas Points. The amount of points you need to book this reward seat varies, fluctuating like a commercial fare. Classic Plus Flight Rewards are available to every Qantas International destination with Australian domestic destinations to follow by the end of this year. How to book a Classic Plus Flight Reward

Log in to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account

Search for your flights and select ‘Rewards’

Look for the blue Reward ribbon showing available flights 

Select your flights and complete your booking

Classic Flight Rewards and Classic Plus Flight Rewards have the same Reward Fare characteristics:

  • Upgradeable
  • Flexibility to combine between cabins and fare types in the same booking
  • Same Reward change and cancellation fees
  • No points or Status Credit earn (except for Points Club members)

Any additional charges for Classic Plus Rewards changes are payable in cash, with a change fee in points.

Yes, you have the option to use Points Plus Pay or an approved payment card for the taxes, fees and carrier charges portion of your booking (excluding local airport fees or charges collected at time of check-in) on the payment page on qantas.com.

Classic Plus Flight Rewards can only be booked on qantas.com or in the Qantas App.

Yes, if connected with an international flight booking. Classic Plus Flight Rewards are available to every Qantas International destination flying from 1 July 2024 with domestic to follow by the end of this year.

Classic Plus Flight Rewards are currently available to book for trips departing from Australia and New Zealand. We will progressively be expanding to flights departing from addiitional international destinations. 

It’s easy to combine Classic Plus Flight Rewards with Classic Flight Rewards or cash fares on qantas.com.

To complete a combined booking (with a Reward seat or cash fare) on qantas.com, follow the steps below:

  • Log in to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account
  • Open the Flight Search and enter your destination, travel dates and cabin
  • Ensure the ‘Rewards’ toggle is not selected, then click the ‘Search Flights’ button 
  • A list of your flight options will now appear, including both Reward seat and cash fare options
  • Select your preferred flight(s), and proceed to the payment page to complete your booking

If you combine non-Flight Reward fares with Flight Rewards, the most restrictive fare condition of the non-Flight Reward(s) applies to the segments booked as a Flight Reward for booking changes, cancellations and refunds.

 

No, you can’t change Classic Flight Reward or Commercial bookings to Classic Plus Flight Rewards or vice versa.

At the time of booking for a given cabin, subject to availability you will be offered either a Classic Flight Reward or a Classic Plus Flight Reward.

Any applicable fare difference for a Classic Plus Flight Reward booking change is payable in cash, however the change fee will be collected in points.

You must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer to earn and use Qantas Points. A joining fee may apply. Membership and points are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program Terms and Conditions.
