Monsieur Bleu
A very cool new restaurant on the Left Bank, overlooking the Seine with a great vibe and food to match, this is often on the top of my list when attending Paris Fashion Week. I come here with Australian designers Kym Ellery, Luke and Anna from Romance Was Born, Toni Maticevski and Christopher Esber.

With people waiting up to six months to get a reservation at Frenchie, try to book as far in advance as possible. Superb food, atmosphere and service.

Le Perchoir
Le Perchoir is a cool new restaurant on a huge open rooftop with a 360-degree view of Paris. So picturesque.

La Société
A favourite in Saint-Germain; a little piece of Paris. Its beautifully ornate interior takes you to a different place and time.

After shopping on Avenue Montaigne, have lunch at L’Avenue and sit in the front terrace so you can people watch. You may want to come back here for dinner, too! A Parisian institution.

Chez Julien
Located just behind the Marais, Chez Julien is one of my favourite spots in Paris for lunch or dinner. Seated inside or out, the atmosphere is completely charming.

Le Café Marly
Great place in the 1st arrondissement for lunch and has wonderful views of the Louvre and its courtyard glass pyramids. Despite the “Café” title, this is actually quite a formal restaurant, always full of chic folk during Fashion Week.

Hôtel Costes
Whether it’s for breakfast, lunch or dinner, make sure you sit in this restaurant’s terrace because the hotel has a beautiful courtyard in the centre. The hotel bar is also fun to sit at for an evening drink.

Restaurant Pershing
Dinner is always a delight here and you must visit the bar. Situated in the beautiful Pershing Hall hotel, the restaurant features a brightly lit vertical garden at one end of its patio. A stunning dining space.

Cha Cha Club
This is a fun restaurant/bar/club. Owned by the same people from Hôtel du Nord, this one’s best at night. Book a table for dinner late and then just before midnight watch as they clear the tables and everyone starts dancing as the place turns into a nightclub.

Le Jules Verne
Located 125 metres up in the Eiffel Tower, Le Jules Verne is a treat for at least two senses. Awarded a Michelin star, the restaurant’s food is as extraordinary as the view.

If you love seafood, in particular caviar, then this restaurant is not to be missed. It’s a little old-world but great in the cold months because it’s cosy and intimate.

Mama Shelter
Mama Shelter is known for its Sunday brunch but it’s just as fantastic at dinner. The décor is a highlight – designed by none other than Philippe Starck.

Visit the Mandarin Oriental, which is relatively new and quite beautiful and have a drink at the bar in the terrace. The hotel is also a great central meeting point.

Le Restaurant Café Georges, located at the very top of the Centre Pompidou, has fabulous views of Paris and amazing food. Often used as a film location (you might recognise it from Sex and the City), this restaurant can have a touristy vibe but the view and experience is worth it.

Colette
Head downstairs from street level and visit the Colette café for lunch. Yummy vegetarian food and a great atmosphere.

A high-concept club conceived by film director David Lynch? You’d expect it to have a quirkily creative and slightly dark style – and Silencio doesn’t disappoint. A mega-cool nightspot with a difference, open to the public from midnight onwards.

Café Charlot is a great destination café in the heart of the Marais. Make sure to stop here for brunch/lunch and sit outdoors because it’s great people-watching fare on the weekend. Dinner is always fun, too, on any night of the week!

Rose Bakery
Also in the Marais, the Rose Bakery specialises in all-natural and fresh ingredients and is great for brunch/lunch. Get in quick as it gets very busy from lunchtime onwards and the space is small. The food here is absolutely delicious.
